Lincoln Land Community College Athletics

He was a two-year letter winner and participant in track, javelin, high-jump and high hurdles. He was a Conference and Region champ and record holder in javelin.  He still holds the college javelin record at 197 feet.   In 1976, he qualified for the javelin finals at the national meet.  He attended Illinois State University, participating in the javelin and competed in the Prairie State Games.   Ron went on to teach and coach at New Holland Middletown.
