Lincoln Land Community College Athletics

Clyde was the pitching coach for the Lincoln Land Community College Baseball Loggers.   He dedicated many years to developing and advancing the talent of nearly 120 athletes.  Included in his list of students are: Mark Clark (Cleveland Indians), Bernie Dzafic (Boston red Sox), Phil Wiese (Minnesota Twins), Joe Slusarski (USA Olympic Team and Oakland Athletics), Jeff Fassero (Montreal Expos), and many others.  He was the driving force in organizing the Springfield Umpires Association and was active until his death in 1986.
