The Lincoln Land Loggers celebrated Sophomore Day with a 5-0 victory over Triton College on October 5, 2024, in Springfield, IL. The win improved the Loggers' record to 10-1 on the season, while Triton fell to 3-4-1.

Kyndel Moore got things started early, scoring in the 8th minute off an assist from Kaleigh Meyer. Moore then added a second goal in the 29th minute with a well-placed header from a cross by Taylor Matthew. She completed her hat trick in the 37th minute, this time with help from Makayla Elam.

Just two minutes later, Tetee Jallah added to the lead with a goal off a corner kick, again assisted by Elam. Kaleigh Meyer capped off the dominant first half with a penalty kick in the 40th minute, giving the Loggers a 5-0 lead at halftime.

Lincoln Land's defense, anchored by goalkeeper Elle Walker, held strong throughout the game. Walker was not called upon in the first half but made two saves in the second to preserve the clean sheet.

The Loggers controlled the game from start to finish, taking 18 shots in the first half with 12 on target. In the second half, they added six more shots, including two on goal. The team also earned eight corner kicks over the course of the match.

Lincoln Land now turns its attention to a critical conference matchup against #4 Nationally ranked Heartland Hawks 11-1-1 . The game will take place at home on October 10, 2024, at 4 p.m.
