Parkland Cobras Defeat Lincoln Land Softball Team in Double Header

LLCC vs Parkland Game 1:
Lincoln Land fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-0 loss to Parkland College on Thursday.  Parkland scored on a sacrifice fly by Kami Pearson and a double by Bri Roloff in the first inning.

The Loggers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Parkland, giving up nine runs. Parkland got things started in the first inning when Pearson's sac fly scored one run. Karley Yergler led the Cobras to victory in the circle. The righthander went five innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out ten and walking one.

Karley Moore led things off in the pitcher's circle for Lincoln Land. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing eight hits and nine runs while striking out six. The Loggers didn't commit a single error in the field. Molly Hughes had  six chances in the field, the most on the team. Parkland saw the ball well today, racking up eight hits in the game.  Roloff and Lizzie Stiverson each collected multiple hits for Parkland.  Roloff went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Parkland in hits.  Parkland didn't commit a single error in the field. Pearson had the most chances in the field with nine.
LLCC vs Parkland Game 2:
It was a tough day on Thursday for Lincoln Land, who lost 7-0 to Parkland College in game 2.
A double by Molly Hughes in the second inning was a positive for the Loggers.
Ryleigh Owens led the Cobras to victory in the pitcher's circle. The lefty allowed three hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 12. Bailey Teasley took the loss for Lincoln Land. The righty lasted seven innings, allowing ten hits and seven runs while striking out seven and walking one. Teasley, Charlotte Hayes, and Hughes all had one hit to lead the Loggers.
Parkland College had ten hits in the game.  Owens, Bri Roloff, and Katy Hendricks each collected multiple hits.  Owens went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Parkland in hits. Parkland was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Lexie Griffin had the most chances in the field with 13.
