LLCC lost in three tough sets to #2 Parkland on Wednesday evening, a result that all-but-guarantees Parkland a share of the MWAC title.  Game one started even with the game going to 8-8 before Parkland built a two-point lead that extended to seven in a single rotation.  Having built that lead, the Cobras maintained their sideout and won 25-18.  In game two, LLCC built a lead and extended it to 13-8 before unforced errors hurt the Loggers, beginning with an illegal alignment and two quick ball-handling errors, permitting Parkland to tie it at 14 and then go on an extended hitting run again for seven points whereupon they maintained their sideout and won 25-18.  LLCC came out strong in Game Three once more, building a lead which Parkland recovered from in fits and starts, eventually winning 30-28. 

"The last two games were close and really, we could have won the second and should have won the third, but that's why they are the defending champions.  We had a couple people let up once we had a big lead and Parkland doesn't ever let up.  That 20-15 lead quickly wound up 24-24.  We have to work on staying in the moment," Coach Dietz said, "Instead, right now we are focusing on our teammates' mistakes and errors, rather than our own.  The bright spot is—the problem is there, we know it is there and it is fixable.  We just have to do it."
