LLCC vs. Kirkwood Community College

               The Loggers lost to Kirkwood in 3 sets: 13-25, 11-25, 12-25. Sophomore libero, Izzy Lynch, led the Loggers defense in digs with 11. Sophomore outside hitter, Izzy Link, earned the Loggers 7 digs, while Kylee McDonald had 5, and Brinlie Durbin picked up 3. Gracie Brockett earned 3 block assists, Savannah Kaeb had 1 solo block and 2 block assists. Kylee McDonald and Avery Ginglen each had 2 block assists, and Izzy Link chipped in 1 block assist. 
               The Loggers offense struggled to put a ball away against Kirkwood's front row defense. Izzy Link and Avery Ginglen each had 4 kills, Kylee McDonald and Gracie Brockett each had 3 kills, and Savannah Kaeb and Brinlie Durbin each had 2. Freshman DS, Maryn Linderman, aced the Eagles twice. Freshman setter, Brinlie Durbin earned 13 assists.
 
LLCC vs. Sauk Valley

               The Loggers battled in their match against Sauk Valley, but unfortunately, came up short with scores of 25-21, 22-25, 27-25, 21-25, 8-15. Brinlie Durbin led the Loggers offense in assists with 21 while Bella Winfield-Russo contributed 17. Sophomore co-captain, Izzy Link, led the offense in kills with 14. Gracie Brockett followed closely behind with 12 kills, Savannah Kaeb had 7, Kylee McDonald and Avery Ginglen each had 5 kills, and Phoebe Cochran stepped in and earned 2 kills. Izzy Link and Brooklyn Lynch aced Sauk Valley 4 times each, while Izzy Lynch and Maryn Linderman each had 1 ace. 
               Gracie Brockett lit up at the net for the Loggers defense, earning 5 block assists and 4 solo blocks. Kylee McDonald earned 3 block assists. Brinlie Durbin had 1 solo block and 1 block assist. Savannah Kaeb also had a solo block. Izzy Lynch led the Loggers defense in digs with 13, Izzy Link held the rope in the back row as well with 10, earning herself a double-double. Brooklyn Lynch picked up 8 digs for the Loggers, Bella Winfield-Russo had 6, Avery Ginglen picked up 5, and Maryn Linderman and Gracie Brockett each picked up 4 digs.  

               The Loggers will play at Spoon River Wednesday, September 16, at 6:00 p.m.
