Sadie Mosher led the Loggers to defeat Mississippi Gulf Coast 4-1 to advance at Nationals. Mosher was 3-for-3 at the plate with a 2 run homerun in the 5th inning as well as the winning pitcher for the Loggers. Mosher went the distance allowing 1 run on 3 hits, 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. Courtney Reeves was 2-for-3 with a double.
The Loggers scored first in the 4th inning when Sadie Mosher and Courtney Reeves had back to back hits. Rachel Hastings sacrificed both runners up one base. Two outs with runners at 2nd and third, Cindy Garces beat out an infield hit to drive in both Mosher and Reeves. Mosher belted a two run homer in the 5th inning to take a 4-0 lead. MSGCCC scored their only run in the top of the 6th on a double with one runner on to put the score at 4-1. Sadie Mosher shut down Bulldogs 1-2-3 in the top of the 7th to advance.
LLCC is now 45-12 on the year.
