Loggers End Regular Season on a High Note

Game 1 - Davidson Helps Lincoln Land Loggers Slug Their Way To Victory Against Lewis & Clark CC

Ryleigh Davidson hit two home runs and drove in four as Lincoln Land Loggers defeated Lewis & Clark CC 14-0 on Monday at Godfrey, IL. Ryleigh Davidson homered in the third and fourth innings. Lincoln Land Loggers got on the board in the top of the third inning after Brooke Goetter tripled, scoring one run, Shelby Finchum doubled, scoring one run, and Ryleigh Davidson homered to center field, scoring two runs.

Lincoln Land Loggers added seven more runs in the top of the fourth inning on six hits. Maddie Adams singled, scoring one run, Brooke Goetter hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Shelby Finchum homered to center field, scoring two runs, Ryleigh Davidson hit a solo home run to left field, Abby Hendricks doubled, scoring one run, and Sam Gleckler singled, scoring one run.

Faith Nestler earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. The hurler surrendered one hit and zero runs over five innings, striking out nine and walking one. Alyssa Owen took the loss for Lewis & Clark CC. The starter went three and two-thirds innings, allowing 11 runs (eight earned) on nine hits, striking out two and walking none.

Lincoln Land Loggers tallied 14 hits in the game. Ryleigh Davidson, Shelby Finchum, and Maddie Adams each collected three hits for Lincoln Land Loggers. Brooke Goetter collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers in three at bats. Lincoln Land Loggers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Abby Mcdonald had the most chances in the field with nine.

Paige Morris led Lewis & Clark CC with one hit in two at bats.

Game 2 - Finchum's Clutch Hitting Propels Lincoln Land Loggers To Victory Over Lewis & Clark CC

Shelby Finchum drove in four runs on four hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers past Lewis & Clark CC 18-5 on Monday at Godfrey, IL. Shelby Finchum hit a home run to center field in the fourth inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the sixth inning, scoring two.

Lincoln Land Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ryleigh Davidson singled, scoring one run, Emmy Renfro singled, scoring one run, and Abby Hendricks doubled, scoring three runs.

Brooke Donohue homered to center field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the first for the Lewis & Clark CC. Jasmine Turner tripled to center field, which helped Lewis & Clark CC tie the game at five in the bottom of the third.

Lincoln Land Loggers flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring six runs on six hits to take the lead, 11-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Shelby Finchum that drove in two.

Lincoln Land Loggers scored six runs on two hits in the top of the sixth inning. An error scored one run, Shelby Finchum doubled, scoring two runs, Emmy Renfro doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

Reagan Jonas earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. The reliever gave up three hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Taylor Stelbrink took the loss for Lewis & Clark CC. The starter went five and two-thirds innings, surrendering 18 runs (10 earned) on 15 hits, striking out none and walking eight. Brooke Boden stepped in the circle first for Lincoln Land Loggers. The hurler surrendered seven hits and five runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking none. Faith Nestler pitched two innings of shutout ball for Lincoln Land Loggers in relief. The reliever surrendered zero hits, striking out none and walking one.

Lincoln Land Loggers accumulated 15 hits in the game. Emmy Renfro, Camryn Patterson, and Brooke Goetter each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers. Camryn Patterson led Lincoln Land Loggers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing eight walks for the game. Shelby Finchum stole two bases. Lincoln Land Loggers ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game. Lincoln Land Loggers turned two double plays in the game.

Brooke Donohue drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lewis & Clark CC with three runs batted in. The catcher went 2-for-3 on the day. Autumn Heitzman went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Lewis & Clark CC in hits.

Lincoln Lands next game is Saturday 12 pm at Parkland to start postseason.
