Lincoln Land Community College women's volleyball team traveled to Champaign to battle with #2 ranked Parkland Cobras. Parkland won the battle of ranked teams winning 3 games to 1 (25-16, 25-17, 18-25 and 25-21). The Loggers could have rolled over or given up, but they didn't. "We played pretty well other than the first game," stated Coach Jim Dietz. "The last three games were slugfests." Coach Dietz commented, "It reminded me quite a bit of the Forman-Frazier boxing match in 1973…except that we wound up Frazier tonight."

The Loggers fall to 20-2 for an overall record, 3-1 in the MWAC and 4-1 in Region 24 play. "We played hard and showed we deserve to be a top 10 team for sure, but there's a reason Parkland's #2. They showed that tonight."
