Lincoln Land women lost their first game of the year Wednesday night. #9 Parkland handed the #2 Loggers an 88-54 defeat.
Parkland jumped out early on Lincoln Land and took a 23-15 first quarter lead. The second quarter saw Lincoln Land have their best scoring frame of 21 points. However, Parkland answered the call and put up 25 points to increase their halftime lead to 48-36.

The second half did not go Lincoln Land's way. The Loggers were only able to score 16 second half points while surrendering 40 to the Cobras. As a result, the Loggers dropped to 19-1 overall and 6-1 in M-WAC play.

Freshman Isabella Tiburzi led the Loggers in scoring with 15. Alexis Wade had 12 and Zoey Beehn finished with 9. Rounding out the Logger scoring: Kylie Robinson 6, Lillie Woodworth 4, Josie Hughes 3, Lauren Chastain 1.

Lincoln Land resumes conference play on Saturday, Jan. 24 as they travel to East Peoria to face Illinois Central College. Game time is 1:00pm.
