The Lincoln Land Community College Women's Soccer team kept their perfect start intact with a commanding
9-0 road victory over Illinois Valley Community College on Monday afternoon.
The Loggers controlled the match from start to finish, recording
37 total shots with 25 on target and earning
five corner kicks while keeping constant attacking pressure. LLCC stormed out to a
6-0 lead at halftime:
- 5' — Adi Fraase opened the scoring, assisted by Karsyn Jacoby (1-0)
- 13' — Karsyn Jacoby added an unassisted goal (2-0)
- 16' — Sophia Smith scored on a setup from Karsyn Jacoby (3-0)
- 28' — Taylor Smith scored her first goal of the season, finishing off a pass from Hailey Brinkley, who recorded her first career point (4-0)
- 33' — Jordyn Loveless struck, assisted by Karsyn Jacoby (5-0)
- 44' — Daphney Hartel netted her first goal of the year, assisted by Jordyn Loveless (6-0)
LLCC kept the offense rolling in the second half, adding three more goals to close out the victory:
- 49' — Kinley Richardson scored, assisted by Jordyn Loveless (7-0)
- 50' — Kinley Richardson scored again, once more assisted by Jordyn Loveless (8-0)
- 57' — Karsyn Jacoby capped the scoring with her second unassisted goal (9-0)
In goal,
Abi Stephens earned the start and secured the
clean sheet, backed by a disciplined backline that controlled possession and denied Illinois Valley any real scoring opportunities.
LLCC improves to
3-0 on the season and will return home to host
Southeastern Iowa Community College on
Thursday, September 4th, at 4:00 PM in Springfield, IL.
