The Lincoln Land Community College Women's Soccer team delivered a dominant performance in their home opener, earning a commanding
7-0 victory over Kishwaukee College on Saturday afternoon.
The Loggers came out firing, recording
48 total shots with 26 on target and earning an impressive
16 corner kicks while keeping constant attacking pressure from start to finish. LLCC jumped out to a
3-0 lead at halftime:
- 6' — Karsyn Jacoby opened the scoring off an assist from Drea Smith (1-0)
- 35' — Anna Fowler doubled the lead, set up by Sophia Smith (2-0)
- 39' — Kinley Richardson added the third goal unassisted (3-0)
The offense stayed red-hot in the second half, adding four more goals to secure the win:
- 49' — Jordyn Loveless finished a feed from Tatyana Mehundrew (4-0)
- 51' — Richardson scored her second, assisted again by Mehundrew (5-0)
- 52' — Loveless netted her second goal off a setup from Jacoby (6-0)
- 85' — Jacoby capped the scoring with her second goal, assisted by Sophia Smith (7-0)
Defensively,
Elle Walker earned the start in goal and secured the clean sheet behind a disciplined backline that controlled possession and tempo all match long.
LLCC improves to
2-0 on the season and looks to carry their momentum forward when they travel to face
Illinois Valley Community College on
