"Despite losing 3-1, the Loggers showed improvement in their second outing of the season"

Lincoln Land (0-2) kicked off their first home game of the season taking on Lincoln Trail (1-1).
Though the Loggers were on the losing side of the game, they came out determined to have a better showing than in their previous game, and they did just that! It started by generating more offense as the Loggers were able to get 11 shots on goal which was able to produce their first goal (Buxton) of the season. There were other high percentage chances that the Loggers created but were not able to capitalize on.  A couple of missed breakaway opportunities and a post deflection kept the Loggers off the board in the first half.
Defensively the Loggers were able to improve as well as they communicated better this week and stayed organized, keeping Lincoln Trails offense from getting behind them. 

The Loggers take on MWAC opponent John Wood at home on Saturday with a noon start.
