The #3 ranked Lincoln Land Loggers faced off against conference foe Lewis and Clark College on Saturday at Cass Gym and came away with a 77-57 victory. Lincoln Land held a 21-12 first quarter lead and were never seriously challenged for the remainder of the game. The Loggers held a 43-25 half time lead. Lincoln Land extended its lead to 23 at one point, but Lewis and Clark managed three consecutive three point shots to cut the lead to 14 with six minutes to go in the 3rd period. A Sadie Bueker three ended the Trailblazer rally and essentially their hopes of winning.
The Loggers were able to get 10 players in the scoring column with Sadie Bueker leading the way with 20 points. Jolene Bueker contributed 15 and Havilyn Dulin scored 11. The Loggers were lead in rebounding by freshman forward Kennedy Bauer with 10. Jolene Bueker contributed 9 rebounds and Havilyn Dulin and Maclayne Taylor each pulled down seven. Lincoln Land improves to 24-2 on the season and will travel to Danville on Wednesday night for another MWAC contest. Game time is 5:30pm.
