# 4 nationally ranked Lincoln Land Loggers women's basketball team defeated Illinois Valley 85-33 Saturday afternoon at Cass Gym. The Loggers led from start to finish to improve their record to 11-1.
Lincoln Land jumped out to a 21-5 first quarter lead behind 5 points apiece by Sadie Bueker and Maclayne Taylor. The second quarter saw the Loggers catch fire from 3 point land as they buried 5 treys and scored 24 points during the 2nd period.
Freshman Megan Silvey led the way as she drained three from behind the arc.
The second half was much of the same as the Loggers hit six more threes over the final two periods to finish the game on top 85-33.
Megan Silvey led all scorers with 22 points while going 6/9 from the 3 point line. Jolene Bueker and Maclayne Taylor each had 9 points. Sadie Bueker finished with 8 and Cassi Kraft and TaMya Dumas both had 6.
Kraft pulled down a team high 9 rebounds with Katryel Clark and Christina Walker pulling down 7.
Katryel Clark lead the Loggers with 3 assists while Jolene Bueker had 3 steals.
Lincoln Land improves it's record to 11-1. The Loggers next home game is Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 5:30 against St.Louis C.C.
