Lincoln Land completes a come from behind win in late innings to beat Kishwaukee 6-5 to improve to 1-0 on the season.
The Loggers found themselves down early, but rallied in the 8th to take game one against Kishwaukee. Devin Smith started the game for the Loggers and was relieved by Jay Burton in the 5th inning, and Dominic Erlinger in the 8th. Rick Dour, Cole Greer, and Andy Lopez all had multiple hits, with Lopez's last being a crucial 2 RBI double in the bottom of the 8th that would prove to be the game winner. Brendan Hostettler was able to track down a ball in foul territory for a diving catch to seal the win.Â
Lincoln Land returns to action tomorrow at noon for game two of the series at Sacred Heart Griffin High School.
