"Today's game was a tough loss for us," stated Coach Albert after the contest. "Once again, we battled and still came up on the short end. I'm happy with our effort and determination. The girls played well enough to get the win today but unfortunately we couldn't finish out as strong as we hoped. The bright side is how we're competing. The girls are understanding what it takes to compete and that's important."
"We shot poorly from the field today but our free throw shooting kept us in the game. Going 24/26 is outstanding and hopefully we can continue shooting well from the line. Defensively, we did a lot of good things but their size hurt us a little on the block. If we keep working hard, these tight games will eventually go our way."
Madison Jones led LLCC with 23 points and made three 3 point baskets. Hannah Krukewitt finished with 15 points and led the team with 8 rebounds. Jones and Nicole Robinson each dished out 3 assists. Brooke Ferree finished with 9 points.
