Lincoln Land men's basketball fell on the road at Lake Land, 93-77 to the Lakers.
Lincoln Land had some success early and held a 11-5 lead halfway through the first half. Lake Land rattled off a 11-4 run to take their first lead at 16-15 with 7:35 left in the half. Both teams found their scoring rhythm at the point, especially Lake Land who saw 6 three go in in the last 7:00 of the half. Lincoln Land was able to match Lake Land bucket for bucket until the last two minutes of the half when Lake Land pushed their lead from 4 to 13 on a last second three before the buzzer.
For the first few minutes of the second half, the teams traded buckets and the Loggers trailed by only 11. However, Lake Land began putting the game away and led by as many as 27 on their way to the victory.
Freshman Tyler Sales led LLCC with a career high 22 points while also getting 11 boards for the double-double. Freshman Benji Eaker also had a career night with 16. Sophomore Nic Hagel poured in 15. Sophomore Logan Clayton also had 11 pointers.
Lincoln Land is now 0-9 on the year. They'll take a short break for finals before they will travel on the 15th to Ogelsby to take on Illinois Valley Community College.
