The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers list their game to conference foe Joh Wood 61-72. The Loggers held a 37-35 halftime lead but were unable to hold on for the win.
Lincoln Land shot 26/59 (44%) from the field and finished 5/19 (26%) from the 3 pt. line. The Loggers went 4/7 (57%) from the free throw line. John Wood attempted 31 free throws and connected on 20.
Coach Albert was dismayed at the staggering discrepancy of the free throw stat. "Free throws cost us tonight's game. We got out scored 20-4 on free throws. Obviously we committed some fouls but for us to put them on the line that many times is tough. I'm not sure why we didn't get some similar calls but we just need to adjust I guess. Other than that, I though we did some nice things on both ends of the floor. We need to get better rebounding and help defensive. Offensively I would like to see us attacking the rim more aggressively and not settling for the first shot that comes along."
Madison Jones led LLCC with 20 points. Hannah Krukewitt finished with 11 before fouling out. Lindsey Storm had 4 assists and Hannah Cameron collected 3 steals. The Loggers were without point guard Nicole Robinson who was out with an injury.
