Lincoln Land (10-1) extended their winning streak to seven by taking down the Fire from Southeastern University on Saturday winning 6-0.  Freshman pitcher Devin Smith (3-0) dominated to earn his third win of the season.  Smith went seven strong scoreless  innings without allowing a hit while striking out sixteen.

The Loggers lead the whole way, putting up three runs in the top of the first.  Lead off man Rick Dour walked and and scored on Nick Maton's single to right field.  Maton and Xavier Collier, who also singled in the inning, scored on CJ Fleming's single to left, giving the Loggers the early 3-0 lead.  The LLCC bats went silent until they added an insurance run in the seventh and two more in the eighth to take a comfortable 6-0 lead.  The Loggers finished with only seven hits in the game, two coming from first baseman Noah Powless (2 for 3).
 
The Loggers only allowed one hit in the game, and infield single in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and two strikes that went off the glove of short stop Nick Maton.  Sophmore Noah Kesselmayer pitched the scoreless eighth and ninth to close it out for Lincoln Land.
 
Lincoln Land will finish their spring trip on Sunday at 3:30pm when they take on Canada Baseball Academy in Winter Haven.
