The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers played conference foe Lewis & Clark Saturday afternoon. The Loggers struggled to score during the fourth quarter and eventually lost 53-48. Lincoln Land held a 28-22 halftime lead but only managed to score 3 points during the decisive final period.
"Our team goal today was to keep Lewis & Clark under 60 points," stated Coach Albert after the game. "We were able to meet that goal which is a positive aspect of today's game. We failed to secure the win today by only scoring 3 points in the fourth. The girls had good looks at the basket but we couldn't get anything to fall. We also had several shots blocked at the rim due to the presence of the 6'4 Lynah Bontiff. Those are baskets we typically score but she altered or blocked several attempts late in the game. Overall, the girls played a nice game but unfortunately our inability to score late in the game cost us."
Kylie Crouse led the Loggers with 10 points while Molly Smith added 9. Bella Fisher and Sydnee LeGrande both contributed 8 points each. Crouse pulled down 9 rebounds and Hannah Cameron had 8.
Lincoln Land is 13-11.
