LLCC trailed 44-39 at half time but came out in the third quarter to gain the lead, 57-53. However the Loggers only scored 9 in the forth quarter and ending up falling to the 11th ranked cobras. "Today was a step in the right direction for our team, we played like we are capable of and it was refreshing to watch," stated Coach Gary Albert. "Defensively we were really good the second half. The first half we failed to contest their perimeter shots but we came out in the second half and defended them better. We were able to force more turnovers than we committed and we held a 40-30 rebounding edge. Offensively we shot better, but not shoot the 3 particularly well. Molly Smith did a nice job of providing some scoring and Sydnee LeGrande really crashed the offensive boards for us today."
Molly Smith led the Loggers with 21 points. Sydnee LeGrande had a double-double of 11 points and 12 rebounds. Selena Bradshaw and Jordyn Hughes dished out 3 assists apiece for the Loggers.
Lincoln Land is now 12-10 on the season.
