The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers defeated Hannibal-LaGrange JV 98-30 Monday night at Cass Gym. LLCC led from the start to notch their third win of the season.
Lincoln Land jumped out to a 31-5 first quarter lead. The Loggers started off hot with Madison Jones knocking down two 3 pointers and Shelby Thompson contributing one. The second quarter saw Jones, Katie McLean and Denzelle Moore each draining a three. Lincoln Land finished up the half with a 56-13 lead. The second half effort was led by Ella Nelson throwing in 12 points. Hannah Krukewitt had her first game minutes of the year after returning from an injury and had 11 second half points.
"This was a total team effort tonight," said Coach Gary Albert after the game. "We had balanced scoring and did a great job defensively. Katie McLean and Hannah Krukewitt both had their first game action of the year and they really got us some good minutes tonight. We're gradually getting back to full strength but all of the girls have been contributing well."
Madison Jones and Ella Nelson led the Loggers with 19 points apiece. Hannah Krukewitt finished with 15. Denzelle Moore, Nicole Robinson and Lindsey Storm each had 12,11 and 10 respectively. Ella Nelson led the Loggers with 11 rebounds and Moore had 10. Madison Jones dished out 6 assists.
Lincoln Land improved to 3-3 on the season.
