
Today the Lincoln Land Lady Loggers had a tough conference loss against the John Wood Blazers with a final score of 70-78. The Loggers got behind quickly in both defense and offense, allowing the Blazers to score 21 in the first quarter while only scoring 11. The Loggers closed this gap to only 4 points with a score of 35-39 at the of the first half of play.. The Loggers managed to work their way back to 2 points away from leading at one point in the third quarter. Unfortunately, Lincoln Land was not able to get the lead and come up with the win in the end.
Rachel Alde led the Loggers with 24 points. Sydnee LeGrande was next up in line with 14 points. Emmi Fisher and Chloe Albert both chipped in with 8 points. Overall, the team shot 53% from the field, 25% from behind the arc, and 72% from the free-throw line.
Lincoln Land is now 17-10overall and 5-5 in the M-WAC.
