The Lincoln Land Lady Loggers hosted D1 Southwestern Illinois C.C. on Monday night and lost 54-53.  Lincoln Land had a shot with 3 seconds remaining in the game for the win but missed.  LLCC held a 29-25 lead at halftime.
 
Lincoln Land shot just 35% from the field going 19/54.  The Loggers struggled from behind the arc shooting 6/26 for 23%.  Lincoln Land forced 22 turnovers and collected 34 rebounds to 31 for SWIC.
 
"This was certainly a tough loss for us," said Coach Albert afterwards.  "We had the ball with the opportunity to win at the end but unfortunately the 8 footer just missed.  We just had a great weekend with 2 wins but tonight we seemed a little off.  We got off to  a good start only giving up 5 points in the first quarter but then we gave up 20 points during the 2nd quarter.  Our intensity needs to be there for an entire game for us to be good.  Obviously, we have to shoot better and make better decisions in transition.  We had several opportunities in transition but failed to finish. We'll keep working on things and hopefully get back on track."
 
Kylie Crouse led the Loggers with 14 points.  Chloe Albert finished with 9.  Bella Fisher pulled down 8 rebounds for Lincoln Land.
 
Lady Loggers are now 6-5 on the season.
