The Lady Loggers opened the season against D1 Southeastern Illinois on Saturday. The Loggers held a 1 point lead at half but lost 56-67. LLCC shot a dismal 17-35 from the free throw line and finished at 48.6%.
"Overall, the we played tough but had a difficult time knocking down crucial shots." LLCC coach Gary Albert noted a lack of offensive consistency played a role in the defeat. "We need to be more patient when running out offense. There were times we looked good but had to many possessions where we shot too early in the offense. If we can execute more efficiently and finish free throws, we should be okay."
