Hot Shooting by Lincoln College Leaves the Loggers Short In 3rd Conference Loss

LLCC Lose 57-42

The Lincoln Land Loggers men's basketball team continued Mid-West Athletic Conference play on the road against rival Lincoln College. Unfortunately the losing continued for the Loggers who could not find their rhythm.

The Lincoln College Lynx came out on fire in the first half shooting 63% from three, putting in 5 threes, and shooting 60% from the field. The Loggers trailed at half 32-25 and that proved too much for Lincoln Land to overcome. In the second half the Loggers made a few small runs but never could cut the deficit under 4 points. Tired legs equaled missed shots for the Loggers down the stretch and Lincoln pulled away to secure the 57-42 victory. The Loggers failed to consistently score and had trouble shooting from the outside all evening.

"Today was a struggle to watch...we missed a lot of open shots and just could not get over the hump to really make a run for the lead. The good news is we get to try again in just a few days," said Coach Chad Jones.

Lincoln Land falls to 0-3 in the conference and 12-8 overall.

The Loggers were led in scoring by Bryan Bridges who finished with 10 points.
