The Loggers were on the road for a non-conference match up of two 6-2 teams with the Illinois Valley Community College Eagles.
The Eagles came out on fire hitting 6 of their first 10 three point attempts and racing out to an early lead and never looking back, taking a 10 point 33-23 lead into half.
The lead ballooned to 17 early in the second half. The Loggers came back to cut the lead to 6 with 5:30 left in the game after 6 straight points. Unfortunately for the Loggers the Eagles continued to knock down free throws and finished the win 74-64.
"This was our most disappointing game this season. We failed to do the necessary things to win this ball game." Coach Chad Jones reflected after the game.
The Loggers were led in scoring by Marcus Graham who put in 15 and added 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Loggers fall to 6-3 on the season and stay on the road on Saturday against McKendree Junior Varsity squad.
