Loggers Win Both Games at Home

Lennington With 3 Hits As The Loggers Beat SRC

May 1, 2026 vs. Spoon River College (SRC) Spring '26

Lennington collected three hits in four at bats, as the Loggers defeated SRC10-2 on Friday. Lennington hit a solo home run to left field in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the eighth inning.

Goss struck out 10 batters on the day. The starting pitcher also surrendered four hits and two runs over eight innings while walking three. A single by Eli Carlson put SRC on the board in the top of the third.

Lennington homered to left field, which helped Loggers tie the game at one in the bottom of the third.  The Loggers captured the lead, 5-1, in the bottom of the fourth when Geis singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Lennington singled, scoring one run. Four more Loggers runs crossed the plate in the eighth inning to extend the lead to 10-2. Geis hit a solo home run to center field, Turner drew a walk, scoring one run, Moffatt was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Swaney drew a walk, scoring one run.

Brenden Boudreau took the loss for SRC. The starting pitcher went six innings, giving up six runs (three earned) on six hits, striking out six and walking two.

The Loggers collected 10 hits in the game. Geis, Lennington, Barnes, and Swaney each drove in two runs for the Loggers. Moffatt collected two hits for the Loggers in three at bats. The Loggers turned two double plays in the game.

Loggers Beat SRC

May 1, 2026 vs. SRC Spring '26

The Loggers were triumphant over SRC 6-1 on Friday. The Loggers jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Moffatt singled, scoring one run, Swaney doubled, scoring two runs, and Bowles grounded out, scoring one run.

Eli Carlson hit a solo home run to right field in the top of the fifth for the SRC. Winkeler earned the win for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher gave up seven hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine and walking three. Braden Arrenholz took the loss for SRC. The pitcher went six innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out four and walking none.
The Loggers amassed 10 hits in the game. Moffatt and Swaney were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for the Loggers. Geis led the Loggers with three hits in three at bats. Turner collected two hits for the Loggers in four at bats. The Loggers turned two double plays in the game. The Loggers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Herman made the most plays with nine.
