The Lincoln Land Loggers will host Cancer Awareness Night this Saturday as they take on Danville Area Community College. First game tips at 1:00 p.m. for the women, followed by the men at 3:00 p.m.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink or white to show support for cancer awareness. There will also be t-shirts available for sale.
Cancer remains the second leading cause of death in the United States, affecting nearly one in three people during their lifetime. While the impact of cancer continues to touch almost every family, cancer death rates have steadily declined for more than three decades thanks to advances in research, early detection, and treatment. Today, there are more than 18.6 million cancer survivors living in the United States, a powerful reminder of both the progress made and the importance of continued awareness and support.Â
As the Loggers take the floor, Saturday's games represent more than competition; they honor survivors, remember loved ones, and support those still fighting.
