#10 Loggers Take over Spoon River

The 10th ranked Loggers traveled to Canton, IL Saturday afternoon and came away with a 109-38 victory over Spoon River. The win pushed Lincoln Land's record to 24-2 and 11-2 in the M-WAC.
The  Lincoln Land scoring onslaught began early in the contest. The Logger's Alexis Wade and Lillie Woodworth hit first quarter 3's. In addition, Zoey Beehn went 6/6 from the free throw line. The hot shooting Loggers scored a game high 37 points to Spoon River's 11.

The second quarter was another good frame for Lincoln Land. The Logger's defense was tough and only allowed a game low 5 points to the Snappers. In addition, the Logger's offense was potent. Kylie Robinson drained 3 point basket while Lillie Woodworth poured in 8 points for a 60-16 halftime lead.

Coming out of halftime, the Logger's offense was still firing on all cylinders. Alexis Wade and Lillie Woodworth once again buried  3 point basket to give Lincoln Land a 78-22 advantage.
The fourth quarter saw Spoon River have their best scoring period of the game. The Loggers gave up 16 points but still managed to score 21. Zoey Beehn led the Logger offense with 11 points and she also hit her first collegiate 3. The result was a 109-38 victory for Lincoln Land.

Zoey Beehn finished the game with 28 points. Lillie Woodworth finished with 22 points with Lauren Chastain dropping 15. Alexis Wade and Isabella Tiburzi both had 14. Rounding out the Loggers scoring were: Kylie Robinson 12, Ella Demler 7, Josie Hughes 2.

Lincoln Land continues play on Wednesday, Feb. 18 as they travel to face Kaskaskia College in a 5:30pm contest.
