#10 Loggers Ran Away With the Win on Homecoming

The #10 ranked Lincoln Land women's basketball team played host to the Lewis and Clark College Trailblazers and won by a margin of 82-33.  Lincoln Land struggled from the field early while Lewis and Clark hit their first three shots of the period.  Eventually Lincoln Land settled in and led by a score of 24-13 at the end of the first quarter.  In the second quarter, Lewis and Clark switched to a zone defense and Lincoln Land managed to shoot a dismal 20% from the three point line in the quarter.  The Loggers manage to out score Lewis and Clark in the period 14-9, but neither team could find their offensive rhythm.

The second half saw a much more inspired Logger offense and defense.  Lincoln Land used stifling full court pressure to out score the Trailblazers 27-6 in the third period.  The fourth quarter was a formality and Lincoln Land cruised to an 82-33 victory.

The Loggers were lead by Kylie Robinson with 17 points.  Lillie Woodworth scored 15, Lauren Chastain 11, and Alexis Wade added 10 points respectively.  Zoey Beehn pulled down a team high 10 rebounds while Lillie Woodworth added 11.  Lincoln Land improves to 23-2 on the season and 10-2 in MWAC play.  The Loggers travel to Spoon River College on Saturday for a 1pm tipoff.
