The 2 hour trip to Danville didn't slow down the Lincoln Land offense Saturday afternoon. The #4 Loggers hit the century mark as they defeated Danville Area 107-47. Five Loggers scored in double figures as Lincoln Land improved to 16-0 and 3-0 in conference play.
The first quarter saw Danville keep an early 6-6 pace with Lincoln Land. Mid-way through the first quarter, the Loggers went on a 20 to 5 run to secure a 26-11 lead.
The second frame was a carbon copy of the first. Lincoln Land's offensive transition and defensive pressure allowed the Loggers to out-score the Jaguars 26-12. Lincoln Land forced 15 first half turnovers and entered halftime up 52-23. Freshman guard, Kylie Robinson, poured in 15 points in the half while Zoey Beehn pulled down 8 rebounds.
Coming out of halftime, Lincoln Land held Danville to just 8 points. Once again the Lincoln Land offense was firing on all cylinders. The Loggers put up 25 points in the third to claim a 77-31 entering the final frame. The offensive surge for the Loggers did not stop in the fourth quarter. Lincoln Land had their best offensive output of the day.
The Loggers hit 30 points in the frame while giving up 16 to the Jaguars. Lincoln Land forced 24 turnovers while only committing 9. The Loggers also out rebounded DACC 46-26. Lincoln Land shot a blistering 13/25 from the 3pt. line(52%). Freshman Zoey Beehn led all scorers with 20. The Owensboro, KY native also pulled down 17 rebounds for another double/double. Kylie Robinson scored 19 points and had 9 rebounds. She also dished out 5 assists. Rounding out Lincoln Lands scoring: Lauren Chastain 16, Alexis Wade 14, Ella Demler 14, Lillie Woodworth 9, Isabella Tiburzi 8, Hunter Mowrey 7.
Lincoln Land will be back in action Wednesday, Jan. 14 as they take on M-WAC opponent Lewis & Clark in a 5:30pm contest.
