Congratulations to Lincoln Land's Seth Winkler and Ethan Hurst for making the NJCAA All-Region 24 Baseball Team!
Seth Winkler, a sophomore infielder from St. Charles, IL, played in 51 games for the Loggers. He finished the season with a .326 batting average. In 190 at-bats, he collected 62 hits, including 12 home runs (33
rd in the country) and 14 doubles. Winkler crossed home plate 64 times (34
th in the country) and recorded 59 RBIs (37
th in the country). He also stole 11 bases during the season.
Ethan Hurst, a sophomore infielder from Morton, IL, was selected as the designated hitter for the Region 24 All-Region Team. Hurst appeared in 52 games and posted a .352 batting average. In 179 at-bats, he tallied 63 hits, including 11 home runs (50
th in the country), 15 doubles, and 2 triples. He accumulated 115 total bases (54
th in the country) and was hit by a pitch 16 times (57
th in the country). Hurst scored 60 runs (62
nd in the country) and drove in 54 RBIs (79
th in the country).
Both All-Region honorees now advance to the national stage, where they will be considered for NJCAA All-American honors.
