Game 1 - Loggers Falls To Jaguars In High-Scoring Affair

Bats were blistered on Sunday, but the Loggers couldn't quite get the job done against the Jaguars and lost 11-9. Jaguars collected 13 hits, while the Loggers had seven. The Loggers was right in it until the Jaguars doubled in the seventh inning.
A single by Kaeden Bowles put the Loggers on the board in the bottom of the second. The Jaguars took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third thanks to doubles by Alex Fernandez, and Isaac Murray. The Loggers tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a walk by Kaeden Bowles, a single by Colbie Glenn, and a walk by Nolan Turner.
In the top of the sixth, the Jaguars broke up the tie when Bryce Buhs induced Braxton Waller to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Then a single by Zach Russell followed to extend the lead to 8-5. The Loggers took the lead in the bottom of the sixth. Seth Winkler hit a grand slam to left field, to give Loggers the leg up, 9-8.
Andrew Hendrickson led things off on the bump for the Loggers. The righty surrendered nine hits and five runs over five innings, striking out three and walking three. Jackson Roberts stepped on the hill first for the Jaguars. The righty surrendered two hits and five runs (three earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out three and walking four.
Number seven hitter, Brooks Neuhoff, showed the depth of the Loggers's lineup, by leading them with three hits in four at bats. Seth Winkler went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in. Kaeden Bowles collected two hits for the Loggers in three at bats.
The Jaguars amassed 13 hits in the game. Adam Price drove the middle of the lineup, leading Jaguars with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Alex Fernandez and Adam Price each collected three hits for Jaguars. Zach Russell collected two hits for the Jaguars in four at bats. Ethan Durbin led Jaguars with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game. The Jaguars turned two double plays in the game.

Game 2 - Hurst's Big Day Propels Loggers Past Jaguars

Ethan Hurst drove in five runs on two hits to lead the Loggers past Jaguars 14-11 on Sunday. Ethan Hurst doubled in the first scoring two, walked in the second scoring one, walked in the third scoring one, and hit a solo home run to left field in the fifth scoring one. Bats blistered as the Loggers collected 11 hits and Jaguars tallied nine in the high-scoring game.
The Jaguars opened the scoring in the first after Braxton Waller homered to center field, scoring two runs.
The Loggers flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the first, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 5-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Ethan Hurst that drove in two. The Loggers added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning when Ethan Hurst drew a walk, scoring one run, and Payten Mugele doubled, scoring two runs.
The Loggers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Seth Winkler doubled to left field, Ethan Hurst walked, and Payten Mugele hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
Chris Lewis hit a solo home run to left field in the top of the fourth for the Jaguars. Ethan Hurst hit a solo home run to left field in the bottom of the fifth for the Loggers.
Trent Koehler earned the win for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher gave up nine hits and 11 runs (six earned) over eight and one-third innings, striking out five and walking two. Drew Ogden took the loss for the Jaguars. The left-handed pitcher went one inning, giving up five runs on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Max Powers appeared in relief for the Loggers.
The Loggers amassed 11 hits in the game. Nolan Turner led Loggers with three hits in four at bats from the leadoff position. Payten Mugele collected two hits for the Loggers in three at bats. Seth Winkler paced the Loggers with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating 13 walks for the game. Colbie Glenn stole two bases. The Loggers stole three bases in the game. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.
The Jaguars tallied nine hits in the game. Braxton Waller and Chris Lewis each collected two hits for the Jaguars. Braxton Waller went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Jaguars didn't commit a single error in the field. Isaac Murray had the most chances in the field with seven.
