Loggers Take Two from the Snappers

Game 1 - Hits Aplenty In Loggers Victory Over Spoon River College

Both the Loggers and Spoon River College had their offenses going on Friday, but the Loggers eventually prevailed 15-11. Loggers collected 15 hits, while Spoon River College had 14. The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Andrew Hendrickson doubled to right field, Ethan Hurst singled, and Colbie Glenn grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.

The Loggers scored five runs on three hits in the top of the second inning. Kaeden Bowles doubled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Andrew Hendrickson singled, scoring two runs. The Loggers added one run in the third after Andrew Hendrickson singled to center field. The Loggers scored three runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to left field by Brooks Neuhoff.

Conrad Charpentier earned the win for the Loggers. The reliever gave up four hits and three runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out none and walking one. Logan Booth took the loss for Spoon River College. The hurler went one inning, allowing eight runs (six earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking none. Mark Wolak started on the bump for the Loggers. The pitcher gave up six hits and five runs (four earned) over three innings, striking out one and walking two. Ryan Oswald and Luke Goss each appeared in relief for the Loggers.

The Loggers accumulated 15 hits in the game. Andrew Hendrickson drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Loggers with five runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 3-for-5 on the day. Payten Mugele, Nolan Turner, Seth Winkler, and Colbie Glenn each collected multiple hits for Loggers. Nolan Turner and Seth Winkler each stole multiple bases for the Loggers. The Loggers stole five bases in the game.

Spoon River College amassed 14 hits in the game. Jace Weaver, the number eight hitter for Spoon River College, led the way with three runs batted in. The outfielder went 3-for-5 on the day. Chase Gerwig, Stephen Stufflebeam, and Josh Arnett each collected multiple hits for Spoon River College.

Game 2 - Loggers Impressive In Win Against Spoon River College

The Loggers won big over Spoon River College 9-0 on Friday. The Loggers got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Andrew Hendrickson doubled to left field, Payten Mugele hit a sacrifice fly, and Brooks Neuhoff doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run. The Loggers scored two runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to left field by Brooks Neuhoff.

Seth Impson earned the win for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher surrendered five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Brendan Boudreau took the loss for Spoon River College. The hurler went four innings, giving up three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking two.

The Loggers amassed 12 hits in the game. Brooks Neuhoff led the Loggers with three runs batted in from the number eight spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Andrew Hendrickson went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Loggers in hits. Ethan Hurst and Kaeden Bowles each collected multiple hits for Loggers. Loggers turned one double play in the game. Loggers didn't commit a single error in the field. Andrew Hendrickson had the most chances in the field with seven.

Ryne Crum led Spoon River College with two hits in three at bats. Spoon River College turned one double play in the game. Spoon River College were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Stephen Stufflebeam made the most plays with five.

Next up for the Loggers is a game against Spoon River College on Saturday.
