Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Loses Despite Out Hitting West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats

The Loggers fell 9-4 to West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats on Friday at Hancock Park despite out-hitting them 10 to nine. Allie Dolenc, Emmy Renfro, and Brooke Goetter each collected two hits for the Loggers. The Loggers got on the board in the first inning after Emmy Renfro singled, scoring one run.
Maddie Adams singled down the left field line on an 0-2 count, which helped the Loggers tie the game at two in the top of the fourth.
West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 8-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by #20 that drove in two.
#16 earned the win for West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats. The starter surrendered 10 hits and four runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking none. Reagan Jonas took the loss for the Loggers. The starter went three innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on six hits, striking out two and walking three.
Emmy Renfro, Maddie Adams, and Abby Mcdonald each drove in one run for the Loggers.
#21, #36, and #20 each collected two hits for West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats. #21, #16, and #20 each drove in two runs for West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats. #41 led West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting four walks for the game.

Game 2 - Lincoln Land Loggers Secure Win Against Iowa Lakes Softball

The Loggers took down Iowa Lakes 7-5 on Friday at Hancock Park. The Loggers opened the scoring in the first after Emmy Renfro homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Iowa Lakes tied the game in the top of the third thanks to a single by Macy Pickett, and an error.
The Loggers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Emmy Renfro singled to center field, Abby Mcdonald singled to center field, Iowa Lakes committed an error, and Taryn Millburg grounded out, each scoring one run.
Brooke Boden earned the win for the Loggers. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and five runs (four earned) over four innings, striking out one and walking one. Macy Pickett took the loss for Iowa Lakes. The right-handed pitcher went two and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs (four earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking one. Faith Nestler tossed three innings of no-run ball for the Loggers in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out six and walking none.
Emmy Renfro provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Loggers with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Emmy Renfro, Brooke Goetter, and Shelby Finchum each collected two hits for the Loggers.
Macy Pickett drove the middle of the lineup, leading Iowa Lakes with two runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Marrissa Miller went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Iowa Lakes in hits. Iowa Lakes turned one double play in the game.
