Late Score Costs Lincoln Land CC Against Parkland Cobras

Lincoln Land CC stayed in it until the end, but Parkland Cobras pulled away late in a 4-2 victory on Sunday at Lincoln Land Community College. The game was tied at two in the top of the fifth when Fearday homered to left field, scoring two runs. A solo home run to left field by Acton put Parkland Cobras 26 on the board in the top of the second.
McDonald singled to center field, which helped Lincoln Land CC tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
Lincoln Land CC took the lead in the bottom of the third. Rohn singled, scoring one run, to give Lincoln Land CC the leg up, 2-1.
Parkland Cobras  made the score 4-2 in the top of the fifth after Gourley scored after tagging up, and Fearday homered to left field, scoring two runs.
Fearday earned the win for Parkland Cobras. The right-handed pitcher allowed six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking none. Nestlertook the loss for Lincoln Land CC. Feldmann Has Lots Of Hits But Lincoln Land CC Fall To Parkland Cobras

Feldmann collected three hits in four at bats, but Lincoln Land CC lost to Parkland Cobras 12-4 on Sunday at Lincoln Land Community College. Feldmann hit a home run to left field in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the third inning.

Parkland Cobras were the first to get on the board in the first when one run scored on another play. A solo home run to center field by Helm, a single by Acton, and an error helped Parkland Cobras 26 extend their early lead in the third.

Lincoln Land CC scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth on a home run to left field by Feldmann.

Parkland Cobras scored three runs in the top of the fifth on a home run to left field by Horeis following a 7-pitch at-bat.
Klokkenga earned the win for Parkland Cobras. The starting pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over three and one-third innings, striking out one and walking four. Griffith took the loss for Lincoln Land CC. The righty went four and two-thirds innings, surrendering eight runs (four earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking one.

Cascio paced Lincoln Land CC with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying five walks for the game.
