The #5 ranked Lincoln Land women's basketball team played host to MWAC foe Kaskaskia College and won a decisive victory 83-42. The first quarter saw the game be fairly evenly matched as Lincoln Land struggled to make easy baskets in the period. The second quarter saw the Logger offense pick up as Lincoln Land scored 24 in the period. Megan Harrell lead Lincoln Land with 14 points if the first half. Sam Lindhorst score nine early points as well.
The second half Lincoln Land picked up the pace and out score Kaskaskia 26-6 in the period. The Loggers held Kaskaskia to just one field goal in the period. Every Logger available for action saw significant court time in the game. Lincoln Land forced 30 turnovers on the evening while committing just eight. Whitney Rumbold led the Loggers with 18 points. Harrell scored 15, and Sam Lindhorst chipped in 12 as the other Loggers in double figures. Mae Herman led the Loggers with eight rebounds while Rumbold pulled down seven. Addi Fraase snatched a team high three steals.
Lincoln Land improves to 25-2 (11-2) on the season. The Loggers will play on the road on Saturday against Parkland College at 1pm.
