Calling all Fans, it's time to vote for your favorite student athletes
Lincoln Land Community College Athletics is excited to announce the launch of our new annual Fan Favorite Award. This award will be received by one student athlete per sport each season and is voted on by you, the fans.
The Fan Favorite Award will be voted on by the Loggers fans in attendance during the last three home games of each respective sports season. Fans can only submit one ballot per game for their favorite player at a voting station located at each sports playing venue. Every active player on the roster will be available for voting. The winner of the award will be announced at the conclusion of the last regular season home game of each respective sport.Â
"I am excited to see how this award will grow within Loggers Nation, said Diana Couch, athletic director at LLCC. "Having had this award at previous institutions, we found it interesting who our fans deemed to be their favorite player. Sometimes it's the leading scorer and others that athlete who plays limited minutes and leaves it all on the playing field. I think having this opportunity to invite our Loggers fans to engage and contribute in honoring our student athletes will demonstrate to them how much they are supported and in turn work to strengthen our commitment to representing the fans, college and community."
The inaugural award will start this Wednesday evening with voting for our men's and women's basketball programs. The voting station will be available during each of the remaining three home games and located inside the Cass Gymnasium.Â
Voting is open to ALL fans including students, faculty and staff.Â
So, bring your friends and family out to the last three home basketball games and get those votes in!
