The #5 ranked Lincoln Land women's basketball team played host to Black Hawk College from Moline and scored a runaway victory 89-47. The game started off with both teams trading baskets early. Lincoln Land slowly put distance on the Black Hawks and lead by nine points at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw the Logger offense start to take off with as Lincoln Land hit four three-point baskets in the period. Lincoln Land scored 25 points in the period. This was also the largest scoring period of the game for Black Hawk as they scored 17. Lincoln Land held a commanding 44-25 at the halftime break.
The second half saw the Logger press start to take its toll on the Black Hawks. Lincoln Land outscored BHC 23-9 in the period. "We felt we got stronger as the game went on" said Logger coach Chad Jones. The final period was much of the same. Lincoln Land pulled off the press but still pushed the pace of the game. Lincoln Land would win by a final margin of 89-47.
The Loggers were lead in scoring by Alexis Wade with 16. Isabella Tiburzi contributed 13, Zoey Beehn 12, Josie Hughes 11, and Kylie Robinson 11. Hunter Mowrey pulled down a team high six rebounds. Woodworth and Tiburzi each grabbed five. Alexis Wade led the Loggers with six assists and Lillie Woodworth had a team high seven steals. The Loggers improve to 10-0 on the season and will play two games in Wisconsin next weekend.
