The Lincoln Land women's basketball team scored a game high 30 first quarter points as the #4 Loggers defeated Illinois Valley 87-50. Lincoln Land finishes 2025 13-0.
Freshman guard, Kylie Robinson, led the Logger's offensive attack the entire first quarter. The 5'5 Macomb product scored 18 first half points that included a three point basket. Lillie Woodworth and Lauren Chastain both hit a three point basket in the half as the Loggers rolled into halftime up 45-25.
Entering the third quarter, the Lincoln Land defense was dominant. The Loggers forced 6 turnovers and held the Illinois Valley offense to a mere 8 points. Woodworth, Chastain and Robinson each hit a three point basket as the Loggers increased their lead to 70-33.
The final quarter saw Woodworth drain two more three pointers. Freshman Zoey Beehn added 6 points in the frame as Lincoln Land cruised to the 87-50 victory.
Lillie Woodworth led Lincoln Land with 22 points and 9 rebounds. Kylie Robinson finished with 21 while Zoey Beehn added 14. Other Loggers in the scoring column were: Lauren Chastain 8, Bella Tiburzi 8, Hunter Mowrey 7, Alexis Wade 5, Ella Demler 2.
The Loggers finish 2025 with a perfect 13-0 record. The Loggers begin M-WAC play on Saturday, Jan. 3 as they host John Wood in a 1:00pm contest at Cass Gym.
