#5 Loggers Stay Undefeated

The #5 ranked Lincoln Land women's basketball team traveled to Milwaukee,WI to take on Bryant & Stratton Friday night. The result was a 79-58 victory that improved the Loggers unblemished record to 11-0. A strong fourth quarter propelled Lincoln Land to the non-conference win.

Zoey Beehn started the Logger offense rolling in the first quarter. The Freshman Forward, from Owensboro, KY, scored 6 points in the frame. Freshman Kylie Robinson and Sophomore Lauren Chastain, both added a three point field goal to give Lincoln Land a 24-15 lead.

Lincoln Land's lowest scoring period of the game came in the second frame. The Loggers were outscored by Bryant & Stratton 16-15 to trim Lincoln Lands halftime advantage to 39-31. Freshman Guard Josie Hughes and Sophomore Lillie Woodworth both drained a three point basket.
Bryant & Stratton had their best quarter of the night, in the third quarter, as they managed to outscore Lincoln Land once again 19-16. Chastain and Robinson led the Logger offense with 5 points, with Robinson hitting another three pointer.

Entering the final quarter up 55-50, Lincoln Land proved they were up to the challenge. The Logger's matched their 24 point first quarter scoring while stifling Bryant & Stratton's offense to a game low 8.  A smothering press led to several Bryant & Stratton turnovers in the period as well. Freshman Bella Tiburzi scored two consecutive possessions in the paint while Kylie Robinson and Alexis Wade buried a three apiece to put the contest out of reach.

The Logger's defense forced 35 turnovers in the 79-58 victory. Zoey Beehn finished with a team high 16 points. Kylie Robinson and Alexis Wade both added 15. Bella Tiburzi contributed 11. Rounding out Lincoln Land's scoring were, Lauren Chastain 8, Hunter Mowrey 6, Lillie Woodworth 5, Josie Hughes 3.

Lincoln Land quickly returns to action Saturday, Dec. 13 as they take on Blackhawk Tech in a 1:00pm contest. Lincoln Land improves to 11-0 on the season.
