The #5 ranked Loggers played host to Region 4 foe Carl Sandburg College and pulled out a 64-55 victory.  Lincoln Land once again started the game hot by scoring 28 points in the first quarter.  The second quarter saw the Loggers and the Chargers match pace with each team scoring 16 in the period.  This season has been a tale of two halves for Lincoln Land, and tonight was no exception.  Lincoln manage to put only eleven points on the board in the period.  Fortunately, the Carl Sandburg also struggled from the field and was only able to score ten.  The Logger offense went ice cold in the fourth period scoring just nine points.  Lincoln Land managed to shoot a dismal 14% from the floor, 0% from the three-point line, and just 41% from the free throw line in the quarter.  The Loggers did manage to make some game saving plays late.  Sophomore Lauren Chastain made a big defensive play, and sophomore Lillie Woodworth pulled down back to back offensive rebounds on free throws to seal the game for the Loggers.

Lincoln Land was lead in scoring by Kylie Robinson with 17. Alexis Wade contributed 11 and Lauren Chastain chipped in ten.  Chastain and Woodworth each pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Loggers.  Lincoln Land will play host to top 15 team St. Clair College from northern Michigan on Saturday in a battle of two top ranked teams.  Lincoln Land improves to 7-0 on the season.
