#5 Lincoln Land women's basketball team traveled to Illinois Central College Wednesday evening for a Mid-West Athletic Conference contest. The result wasn't what the Loggers wanted as they dropped their first game of the year to the Cougars 79-69.

Lincoln Land controlled the game from the start. The Loggers led by as many as 14 points before ICC made a run during the final period. Some untimely missed shots followed by made field goals and free throws propelled ICC's come from behind win.

Sam Lindhorst scored 21 points for Lincoln Land. Other Logger offensive contributors were: Megan Harrell 13, Mae Herman 11, Whitney Rumbold 9, Durbin Thomas 7, Alexis Wade 6, Lilly Woodworth 2.

Lincoln Land drops to 16-1 overall and 2-1 in MWAC play. The Loggers are back in conference action Saturday, Jan. 18 as they host Danville Area College at 1:00 in Cass Gym.
