Loggers Fall to Central Florida

The Loggers couldn't keep up with Central Florida and fell 9-1 on Tuesday at Ocala. A double by Todd Curley put Central Florida on the board in the bottom of the first.
Austin Eppley homered to left field, scoring three runs in the bottom of the third for the College of Central Florida. Andrew Stancin earned the win for Central Florida. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking none.

Mitch Dye took the loss for the Loggers. The righty went five innings, surrendering five runs on four hits, striking out six and walking two. James Hill stepped on the hill first for Central Florida. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out three and walking one. Hunter Moser led the Loggers with one hit in three at bats. Andrew Randazzo led the Loggers with one run batted in.

Edwin Toribio, Armando Guirola, Eppley, Marcus Bradshaw, Ben Chapman, and Curley each collected one hit for Central Florida. Eppley and Curley were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for College of Central Florida. College of Central Florida turned one double play in the game.

Next up for the Loggers is a game at Pasco Hernando State College on Wednesday.
