Loggers Grind Past Bobcats

The #6 ranked Lincoln Land Loggers hosted another out of state opponent in Bryant and Stratton College of Wisconsin and won decisively 63-34.  Lincoln Land opened up the first quarter and dominated the Bobcats.  Lincoln Land managed to hold the Bobcats to just two points in the period while scoring 24 of their own.  The second quarter saw Bryant and Stratton score a few early baskets, however, Lincoln Land matched nearly every basket and increased their lead to 36-12 at half time.

The second half was a continuation of the first half.  Lincoln Land increased their lead to as much as 39 late in the third period.  Bryant and Stratton did manage to outscore the Loggers in the final frame by three points, but it was too little too late.  Lincoln Land was lead in scoring by Megan Harrell with 18 points.  Harrell also pulled down a team high 12 rebounds to cap a double double on the night.  Alexis Wade was 3-5 from the three-point line to finish the day with 12 points.  Taylor Blehm again came off the bench strong and scored 10 points while grabbing six rebounds. Mae Herman and Whitney Rumbold each grabbed six rebounds.  Lincoln Land improves to 11-0 and will play St. Louis Community College at home Monday at 5:30pm.
