LLCC vs Danville Area Game 1:
The Loggers jumped out to an early lead over Danville Area Community College and took home a 7-3 victory on Friday, in game one of the double header. Lincoln Land scored on a fielder's choice by Trent Koehler and an error in the second inning.
The Loggers pulled away for good with two runs in the second inning. In the second Matt Bunnell induced Koehler to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Lincoln Land put up five runs in the fourth inning. The Loggers's big inning was driven by a single by Grant Pohlman and a double by Hunter Moser.
Ben Draeger got the win for Loggers. The righthander allowed two hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking zero. Griffin Neuweg and Logan Antrim entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Bunnell was on the mound for the Jaguars. The hurler went six innings, allowing seven runs on six hits and striking out two. Moser led the Loggers with two hits in three at bats. Kody Morton went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Danville in hits.
LLCC vs Danville Area Game 2:
The Loggers were victorious over Danville Area Community College, 5-1 in game two of double header.
Porter Conn took the win for Lincoln Land. The lefty lasted six innings, allowing four hits and one run while striking out eight and walking one. Brannan Kraft and Evan Herpsteith entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Reston Morehouse was on the pitcher's mound for the Jaguars. Morehouse allowed six hits and five runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five. Xavier Cantrell and Nick Krueger entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and one-third of an inning respectively. Will Rohlk led the Loggers with two hits in four at bats. Danville totaled six hits. Adam Evans and Kody Morton each had multiple hits for the Jaguars.
