Loggers Take Down the Hawks with Walk-Off Before Dropping Game 2

LLCC vs Heartland Game 1:
The Loggers seized victory in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off sacrifice fly at the end of the game to topple Heartland. The game was tied at eight with the Loggers batting in the bottom of the seventh when Trace Melody's sac fly scored one run for Loggers. The base paths were crowded in this high-scoring game. The Loggers collected eight hits and Heartland had six. Heartland fired up the offense in the second inning. Aidan Mcnamee's sac fly scored one run for Heartland. Heartland scored four runs in the sixth inning. Ben Hartl, Sam Antonacci, and Auston Brewer each had RBIs in the frame.
 
Sergio Marchizza was credited with the victory for the Loggers. The pitcher allowed two hits and one run over one and one-third innings, walking zero.  Logan Antrim threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen. Kyle Anderson took the loss for Heartland.
 
Porter Conn started the game for Lincoln Land. The lefthander allowed three hits and three runs over four innings, striking out four Luke Wright started the game for Heartland. The pitcher lasted four and a third innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out four. Lincoln Land tallied one home run on the day. Austin Adcock put one out in the second inning. Adcock led the Loggers with two hits in three at bats. Hartl went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Heartland in hits. Heartland didn't commit a single error in the field. Mcnamee had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
 
LLCC vs Heartland Game 2:
The Loggers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-1 loss to Heartland on Monday. Heartland scored on a double by Ben Hartl, a sacrifice fly by Corey Boyette, a double by Bobby Atkinson, and a double by Gallien Coupet in the first inning. The Loggers struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Heartland, giving up 13 runs. Heartland opened scoring in the first inning. Heartland scored eight runs in the fifth inning. The big inning for Heartland came thanks to home runs by Matt Santarelli and Santarelli, a single by Auston Brewer, and a double by Daniel Mosele.
 
Isiah Jackson got the win for Heartland. Jackson went five innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out seven. Brannan Kraft toed the rubber for the Loggers. The pitcher went four innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits, striking out three and walking one. Drew Lenz threw one inning in relief. Drew Ezard went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Loggers in hits. Heartland racked up 13 hits.  Coupet, Santarelli, Hartl, and Atkinson all managed multiple hits for Heartland. Coupet led Heartland with three hits in three at bats.
