The Lincoln Land women's basketball team  faced  the 12th ranked Lake Land Lakers Wednesday night at Cass Gym. The Loggers were looking to beat Lake Land for the second time this season but fell 59-50.

Lincoln Land started the game out scoring Lake Land 12-9 after one quarter of play.  Freshman Avrie Schmidt led the Logger's attack with 5 points.
Lake Land was able to bounce back during the second frame and took a 27-22 lead at the half. Lake Land knocked down a couple of 3 point baskets to overcome their early deficit. Sophomore Kirsten Taylor and Freshman Taylor Nowaskie both drained a 3 for the Loggers in the second period.

The third quarter would prove to be Lincoln Land's best. The Loggers, behind Marley Smith's 8 points, handled the zone of Lake Land. In addition to Smith, Addison Scarlette knocked down 6 points as the Loggers outscored the Lakers 20-12 for a 42-39 lead entering the final frame. Lincoln Land held its largest lead of the game of 6 points at the 1:07 mark of the third period.

The fourth quarter would be a complete reversal from the third. The Logger's offense went cold as they could only produce 8 points in the final frame. To make matters worse, Lake Land had their best offensive output of the night scoring 20 points. Lincoln Land was forced to foul late in the game and the Lakers went 4/6 from the free throw line to seal the 59-50 victory.

Marley Smith had a team high 12 points and 9 rebounds. Avrie Schmidt and Kirsten Taylor both added 10. Addison Scarlette added 8 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Rounding out the Logger scoring were Madison Lovett 5, Taylor Nowaskie 3 and Cassidy Kretschmer 2. Kretschmer had a team high 4 assists in addition to 6 rebounds.
